Dutch AI-powered bid management startup Altura has acquired Berlin-based Tendara, unlocking access to Germany’s €500 billion public procurement market and strengthening its position as the European leader in intelligent tender management. The acquisition addresses critical procurement pain points: time-consuming manual processes, collaboration challenges, and the growing complexity of tender submissions.
“Germany is Europe’s largest public sector procurement market, and Tendara has achieved impressive growth in the region in a very short amount of time,” said Matthijs Huiskamp, Founder & CEO of Altura. “By enabling bid teams to collaborate more effectively with stakeholders, centralise their data, and enable AI-driven, agentic workflows, we’re laying the foundation for a simpler, more powerful way to navigate complex bids.”
Julian Shergill, Founder and CEO of Tendara, added: “Tendara’s mission has always been clear: make it easier for companies to win public tenders. Altura has demonstrated that it has the team, tech, and scale to expand fast across Europe.”
The combined platform automates labor-intensive tasks like identifying relevant tenders, provides bid/no-bid decision insights, and features industry-first AI agents that learn from subject matter experts to draft responses and flag risks—freeing procurement teams to focus on strategy rather than manual work.
