Ivalua, a global leader in spend and supplier management, and its partner KPMG Norway today announced that Sykehusinnkjøp HF, one of the largest procurement organizations in the Norwegian public sector, has selected Ivalua to digitalize its category, sourcing, and contract management processes.
Sykehusinnkjøp HF, or “Norwegian Hospital Procurement Trust,” is jointly owned by the four Norwegian health authorities. The GPO functions as a purchasing center for the specialized healthcare sector in Norway, and therefore oversees the strategic (upstream) procurement for Norwegian hospitals. The organization provides specialized procurement services that empower healthcare entities under its umbrella to improve their financial performance, enhance supply chain resilience, and establish innovative, future-oriented health services. Collectively, Norwegian healthcare organizations purchase goods, equipment, and services worth approximately €5 billion annually.
“Ivalua’s solution will allow us to manage the entire procurement process from one joint platform. The solution will allow further digitization of our processes and simplify the working dialogue with both the health trusts and suppliers. It will also contribute to more standardization of processes tied to category, sourcing and contract management processes, with an increased focus on savings, risk and ESG for both ourselves and the health trusts we serve. In addition, the solution will also support improved intake, portfolio management and potentially spend,” said Bente Hayes, CEO of Sykehusinnkjøp HF.
“Ivalua is very proud to have been selected by one of the most prestigious customers in the Nordic public sector market, Sykehusinnkjøp HF, to deliver the next-generation procurement experience to internal users and suppliers. We look forward to transforming, innovating, and enhancing supplier collaboration through our partnership,” said Henrik Nyberg, Sales Director for Northern Europe at Ivalua.
“After working in close partnership with Ivalua to meet the requirements for Sykehusinnkjøp’s future digital procurement solution, KPMG is incredibly proud to be selected for this procurement transformation and delivery of the Ivalua platform. With this selection, we look forward to enabling a further digitalization of the procurement activities in Sykehusinnkjøp through the implementation of the Ivalua platform,” said Martin Molnberg, Partner – Procurement Transformation & Digitalization at KPMG Norway.
